The Master level is the highest CFDT credential. It requires the CCFDT credential, 2,000 total clinical hours (1,000 of them as a CCFDT), 55 hours of training and a dissertation defended before a Master’s review panel. Master CFDTs have proven mastery and made lasting contributions to the CFDI framework.

The steps

Get approval from a sponsoring Master CFDT.

Complete Designing Your MCFDT Program (about 10 hours).

With your sponsor and employing organization, design an MCFDT program and dissertation, and get CFDI approval for both.

Complete the program and defend your dissertation before a Master’s review panel.
