Need help getting CFDT for you or your loved one? CognitiveFunction Development Services is here to help!Cognitive function development therapy (CFDT) is a highly effective treatment for many challenges and issues. Unfortunately, it's also relatively new and may not be available through your usual provider or venue.
To that end, Cognitive Function Development Services (CFDS) was formed to make CFDT available to as many as need it and do not otherwise have access to it. CFDS therapists can meet with individuals in-person or through video-conferencing (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
The Cognitive Function Development Institute is hard at work expanding thereach of CFDT, introducing it to new communities and organizations as quicklyas possible. If you have a suggestion regarding where you would like to see it, please let us know.

Who Benefits from CFDT?
Cognitive Function Development Therapy focuses on improving the underlying brain functions that support almost everything we do. It can benefit individuals of diverse ages (6 and above) who want to improve their abilities, change their behavior, get over trauma or injury, or who have experienced a decline in cognition due to aging. Some of the categories that can benefit from CFDT are listed here:
People with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
Psychiatric disorders, including anxiety, depression, or PTSD
Individuals with traumatic brain injuries or neurological disorders
Professionals who wish to enhance their cognitive functions for career advancement
Elderly individuals experiencing cognitive decline
Athletes desiring to improve their mental capabilities for sports performance
Providing Therapists for Licensees
The CFDS can provide remote or in-person contract CFD therapists, train existing staff, or help you hire the right staff
CFD therapy is a unique modality. As such, the characteristics, traits, and background of an ideal CFD therapist for your organization will likely be different than what organizations look for in a traditional therapist or medical provider.
Good news, though, what makes a good candidate for a CFD therapist creates a large pool of potential candidates. For example, where other modalities require professional degrees or licensure to practice, CFDT therapists only need a bachelor's degree in any field. The requisite training is provided by the Cognitive Function Development Institute (CFDI) - and much of the training is best accomplished while the individual is an active therapist.
Even so, some organizations licensed to provide CFDT may find it challenging to acquire sufficient, qualified CFD therapists to meet the local market demand for services.
Cognitive Function Development Services (CFDS) can help. In consultation with licensees, the CFDS can assign qualified consultants, contract CFD therapists, cross-train existing staff, or help the organization recruit, vet, and hire the right CFDT staff.
Success & Support Consultations
Supporting the success of licensees and therapists is a primary goal of the CFDS
CFDT is a new, unique modality. Without a doubt some challenges and situations are universally experienced across all therapeutic modalities. For example, almost all organizational leaders must learn to navigate employment law, gain a modicum of literacy regarding financial statements, develop proficiency balancing a multitude of tensions, and so forth. In most cases, we learn to navigate these challenges within the context of a business model that provides traditional therapeutic services.
However, the unique nature of CFDT will - from time to time - necessitate finding new solutions to new situations. The CFDS commits to supporting licensees and therapists through whatever comes your way, building upon and expanding the training and supports provided by the Cognitive FunctionDevelopment Institute.
CFDS success and support consultation topics may include, but are not limitedto:
Building a vibrant, professional CFDT staff
Growing multiple client pools and referral networks
Optimizing client outcomes through fully integrating CFDTand traditional modalities
Applying objectively measured value-based care across the organization
Creating sustainable market demand
Objectively applying evidence to clinical practice
Presentations, Seminars, & Courses
Creating and delivering compelling messaging to tell the CFDT story to your community and beyond
The trouble with new modalities is they tend to be "unknown treasures" in the community. And no matter how good or effective a modality may be, if it is unknown, it is underutilized. Creating a community presentation, a series of professional in-service seminars, or courses designed to support those whose loved ones are getting treatment can be a daunting task - especially if you're already swamped building your business. The CFDS can help. We have the expertise regarding cognitive function development therapy, its theoretical framework, and its developmental future. We've presented quantitative and qualitative research results to leaders in the professional arena. We've created and delivered numerous in-service seminars for CFDT and non-CFDT clinicians. And we've provided many community outreach presentations on a variety of CFD-informed topics a variety of purposes.
